I think the original intention was to put to mean/be applied to the feral like bodies/characters that were capable of intellectual and or physical human like actions/thought, being that feral used to limit what anatomy type it was and their abilities. Pony sorta used to mean like the show and all it’s cartoon wackyness when it was used in the tags. Anthro / anthropomorphic are exactly that, made more human. Today though since the fan content has slowed down and stuff the consensus I believe that yeah it is just exactly like feral, though that’s just my own interpretation.

anatomically correct. It’s a cartoon where horses can touch their noses with the bottoms of their hooves. So I think debating correct is too subjective to have any meaning - it’s all a matter of personal taste. Arguably the most anatomically correct images on the site are at best not what people are looking for, or at worst are openly reviled, because they end up looking like the old world style paintings of stallions behind grandpa’s sofa.In MLP the only thing that is correct is in the show bible - and even the show only used it when it was useful. It’s guidelines - not laws.
If you want to create a new tag because there’s something you want to find, and there’s no tag for it, figure out what such a new tag would be called and please propose it. Then if there is consensus, and you find images are missing the new tag, add the tag.
That way you’re making the positive case easier to find, instead of trying to force a negative case on everyone else, that you could avoid simply by watching artists and prompters who create what you like.
Or, you know, the whole ‘just ignore things you don’t like’.
Anyway, I’m officially out. Which means I’ll never actually check back on the thread.

Alright I get the picture I’ll skedaddle and spend my time doing other things. I’m not here to argue. Though since that seems to be what people are doing to me I’ll go ahead and end with one last argue comment before I go back to just lurking through tags and dadding to my image collection like normal:

Show accurate doesn’t have sex organs of any kind either. As soon as you sexualize them and especially bring them into the world of “anatomically incorrect” the number of mammals that don’t have mammies are low… It’s literally in the name—but since I’m not a biologist I’ll outsource the answer to an AI [Which I feel is especially appropriate given the content of the website we’re on.] or two… and the results are:
“All mammals have mammary glands—this is the defining trait of the class Mammalia and the origin of the name itself. There are no known species of mammals that completely lack mammary glands.”
So unless we are also going to say because they’re magical they are not mammalia even though they are ponies this argument falls entirely flat.
Anyway, I’m officially out. Which means I’ll never actually check back on the thread. So no need to reply any further. I’m a low-stress type I can’t handle these kind of debates, especially since I’m just out looking at pony porn which is my #1 relaxation hobby so definitely don’t want to turn that stressful that’s why I have filtration tags to filter out stressful content.

But - what you’re proposing is not important to others.
And right now you seem to be working for the negative case instead of the positive. You are trying to tag your “do not want” instead of finding a way to tag the “what you do want”.
The negative case of what you are trying to tag (images that don’t show
crotchboobs the way you want) is ENORMOUS. The positive case (images that do show crotchboobs the way you want) is much smaller.So work on the positive case instead.
Please consider instead identifying those prompters and artists who are creating the kinds of
crotchboobs you prefer and either use a custom hide filter to hide everything else, or create a custom watch list for only those prompters/artists making the art you like.And maybe present examples of those “what you want” images and propose a tag for those - for the positive case - instead of tarring every other image on the site which you self-describe as being a ‘politically incorrect’ tag.

Case in point - you admit that ‘normal users’ wouldn’t use it. But to work as a ‘not what I want’ tag for your filter, you’d need everyone else uploading images to become aware of it, and have the same opinion about what constitutes your idea of what “right crotch anatomy for mares” is as you are.
If you have an ideal of what “right crotch anatomy for mares” is, then think of a name for that tag, find some examples, and … I don’t know - if I were doing this I would:
- Create a gallery with those images.
- Come up with a really good name for that tag.
- Propose the new tag in a new thread so that it can be discussed, evolved, and maybe gain support.
And - most importantly:
- Use that gallery to figure out who my favorite creators are and make a watchlist for them.

I wouldn’t figure it would be something that normal posters would use nor one that would suddenly start being used by a ton of people; as you said people barely even tag basic stuff as is. But I also wasn’t asking other people to tag things, I’m trying to volunteer to tag something I feel is important. Just need to know what to tag it as. My whole thing is that since I’m already looking through a massive amount of images, and I’m watch new posts, and there’s something I’d personally like to filter but can’t, and other people have told me they would like to filter by it too, it then just seems logical that I should try and volunteer to tag it, but I want to tag it as the most politically correct thing.
Looking on Derp quite a lot of images like the ones I want to tag are tagged anatomically incorrect, and that is usually the argument that I hear as to why people don’t like it, but while using that tag would make the most logical sense from a pre-established point of view, it also just feels like fueling a needless fire—and since it’s also not consistently used either, if I’m going to invest a couple of hundred hours of time building up a tag to mean something for people I’d like it to be more meaningful and less needlessly dramatic as anatomically incorrect tag would be.

Tags should be two-sided, searching and filtering, and your case only seems to be that you (and presumably a few other people) do not want to see them. Do you know how hard it is to already get people to tag what tags already exist? Even by a logistical standpoint it doesn’t sound worth it.

I already have my own system overall. I’m mostly here trying to talk about the idea of making a new tag largely for other people. Since really mastectomy content is kind of off putting, and IRL I’ve talked to quite a few pony porn fans who find it really creepy and wished there was a way to filter it.
So since I’m basically binge going through Tantabus anyway since I learned about it late, it would be a perfect time for me to binge tag stuff for other people if something was decided on.

Please do not use that tag for characters that are, technically speaking, “on book” for the show. I think it’s wrong to have one group tagging things as
anatomically incorrect if they don’t match IRL horses, and another tagging things as anatomically incorrect if they look like they do in the show. Makes the tag utterly useless because it’s meaning becomes simply “Me No Like This!”@CCDrop

I don’t want things with just crotchboobs though that misses the point. Since any position where you can’t naturally see them it’s not an issue. Since it’s not the absence of crotchboobs that’s the issue per se it’s the absence of them when they should be there. Since really a proper tag for this would probably be mastectomy since that’s why it’s so off putting is it’s like looking a castration or penectomy image since there’s a natural structure that should be there that’s not.
So for example I wouldn’t want to have to search balls just because I don’t want to see castration I just don’t want to see castration so I hide castration and that’s what I want here. I don’t care if I see crotchboobs I just don’t want to see mastectomy or whatever tag makes the most sense to start using.

So one thing I’ve always wished I could filter by, but there’s no tag for it is crotchboobless for images where you can clearly see the crotch on a feral pony and there’s no boobs. I don’t care if there’s human vulva on pony which is where 80% of these kinds of images come from just as long as the boobs are present in the correct place.
So I was wondering what’s the policy for new tags and would it be alright if I started tagging things as crotchboobless or something more politically correct?

wrong cutie mark and bad cutie mark are the only two tags that should matter there. Wrong cutie mark would be anything where a pony has a mark that isn’t theirs, and bad cutie mark would be a cutie mark that’s just straight up scuffed/poor quality.I feel like there’s an obsessive need to over-categorize every single possible kind of AI error from some users, and I do believe this will strangle the site. This community is not large or established enough to survive fracturing a userbase.

I think there should be a tag for models. Aside from tags for sites or which AI engine is used (like stable diffusion, midjourney, dalle), some pictures are reliant on specific models. I’ve generated a fair amount of content in Pony diffusion and NoobAI, for instance.

ai doesn’t like cutie marks, altered cutie mark, cutie mark error, inaccurate cutie mark only have 1 image tagged as such.
If all these are supposed to be kept and used for cutie mark generation errors, it’d be helpful to know what tag to use when.

Maybe have it as a requirement to tag e.g. one of the above or tag it with e.g. correct cutiemark? (or blank flank, for intended blank flanks)? Just like using a rating tag is required (I presume, haven’t uploaded anything yet)
