Will subsequent tag changes made on Derpibooru get synced to the posts that had already been imported? Goodness knows I spend enough time cleaning things up and tagging the oft-forgotten basics, Iād hate to have to do it twice.
How is shipping tags decided upon? E.g. Fluttershy x Sweetie Belle, is tagged as āFlutterbelleā. Why not āSweetieshyā?

Honestly, itās mostly just popularity and history at this point. Most ships have long-established ship names used across almost all fandom sites.
Could we maybe get some tags like resource in description, lora in description, model in description etc?

alternate cutie mark and wrong cutie mark are the main ones.
ai doesnāt like cutie marks, altered cutie mark, cutie mark error, inaccurate cutie mark only have 1 image tagged as such.
If all these are supposed to be kept and used for cutie mark generation errors, itād be helpful to know what tag to use when.

Maybe have it as a requirement to tag e.g. one of the above or tag it with e.g. correct cutiemark? (or blank flank, for intended blank flanks)? Just like using a rating tag is required (I presume, havenāt uploaded anything yet)
I think there should be a tag for models. Aside from tags for sites or which AI engine is used (like stable diffusion, midjourney, dalle), some pictures are reliant on specific models. Iāve generated a fair amount of content in Pony diffusion and NoobAI, for instance.

wrong cutie mark and bad cutie mark are the only two tags that should matter there. Wrong cutie mark would be anything where a pony has a mark that isnāt theirs, and bad cutie mark would be a cutie mark thatās just straight up scuffed/poor quality.I feel like thereās an obsessive need to over-categorize every single possible kind of AI error from some users, and I do believe this will strangle the site. This community is not large or established enough to survive fracturing a userbase.

alternative cutie mark sounds less harsh and more āofficialā so to say, while it may be an error this feels like a good middle-ground between mistakes and genuine attempts to make a different cutie mark. Technically wrong cutie mark also falls into a category of being āalternativeā just not in a way itās usually expressed.
So one thing Iāve always wished I could filter by, but thereās no tag for it is crotchboobless for images where you can clearly see the crotch on a feral pony and thereās no boobs. I donāt care if thereās human vulva on pony which is where 80% of these kinds of images come from just as long as the boobs are present in the correct place.
So I was wondering whatās the policy for new tags and would it be alright if I started tagging things as crotchboobless or something more politically correct?
I feel like on a politically correct side it would be to start tagging them all as anatomically incorrect but also looking at the content of that tagā¦ I feel like it would be too harsh even if technically true, since I feel like the anatomically incorrect tag is a good general filter tag to avoid truly messed up anatomy, where as really crotchbooblessness is just kind of its own unique fetish.

I donāt want things with just crotchboobs though that misses the point. Since any position where you canāt naturally see them itās not an issue. Since itās not the absence of crotchboobs thatās the issue per se itās the absence of them when they should be there. Since really a proper tag for this would probably be mastectomy since thatās why itās so off putting is itās like looking a castration or penectomy image since thereās a natural structure that should be there thatās not.
So for example I wouldnāt want to have to search balls just because I donāt want to see castration I just donāt want to see castration so I hide castration and thatās what I want here. I donāt care if I see crotchboobs I just donāt want to see mastectomy or whatever tag makes the most sense to start using.

Please do not use that tag for characters that are, technically speaking, āon bookā for the show. I think itās wrong to have one group tagging things as

You can hide individual images you donāt like and you should do that as there will not be a new tag created just for you that we can not expect other people to know about or use.

I already have my own system overall. Iām mostly here trying to talk about the idea of making a new tag largely for other people. Since really mastectomy content is kind of off putting, and IRL Iāve talked to quite a few pony porn fans who find it really creepy and wished there was a way to filter it.
So since Iām basically binge going through Tantabus anyway since I learned about it late, it would be a perfect time for me to binge tag stuff for other people if something was decided on.

I wouldnāt figure it would be something that normal posters would use nor one that would suddenly start being used by a ton of people; as you said people barely even tag basic stuff as is. But I also wasnāt asking other people to tag things, Iām trying to volunteer to tag something I feel is important. Just need to know what to tag it as. My whole thing is that since Iām already looking through a massive amount of images, and Iām watch new posts, and thereās something Iād personally like to filter but canāt, and other people have told me they would like to filter by it too, it then just seems logical that I should try and volunteer to tag it, but I want to tag it as the most politically correct thing.
Looking on Derp quite a lot of images like the ones I want to tag are tagged anatomically incorrect, and that is usually the argument that I hear as to why people donāt like it, but while using that tag would make the most logical sense from a pre-established point of view, it also just feels like fueling a needless fireāand since itās also not consistently used either, if Iām going to invest a couple of hundred hours of time building up a tag to mean something for people Iād like it to be more meaningful and less needlessly dramatic as anatomically incorrect tag would be.

And right now you seem to be working for the negative case instead of the positive. You are trying to tag your ādo not wantā instead of finding a way to tag the āwhat you do wantā.
The negative case of what you are trying to tag (images that donāt show
crotchboobs the way you want) is ENORMOUS. The positive case (images that do show crotchboobs the way you want) is much smaller.So work on the positive case instead.
Please consider instead identifying those prompters and artists who are creating the kinds of
crotchboobs you prefer and either use a custom hide filter to hide everything else, or create a custom watch list for only those prompters/artists making the art you like.And maybe present examples of those āwhat you wantā images and propose a tag for those - for the positive case - instead of tarring every other image on the site which you self-describe as being a āpolitically incorrectā tag.

Case in point - you admit that ānormal usersā wouldnāt use it. But to work as a ānot what I wantā tag for your filter, youād need everyone else uploading images to become aware of it, and have the same opinion about what constitutes your idea of what āright crotch anatomy for maresā is as you are.
If you have an ideal of what āright crotch anatomy for maresā is, then think of a name for that tag, find some examples, and ā¦ I donāt know - if I were doing this I would:
- Create a gallery with those images.
- Come up with a really good name for that tag.
- Propose the new tag in a new thread so that it can be discussed, evolved, and maybe gain support.
And - most importantly:
- Use that gallery to figure out who my favorite creators are and make a watchlist for them.

anatomically correct. Itās a cartoon where horses can touch their noses with the bottoms of their hooves. So I think debating correct is too subjective to have any meaning - itās all a matter of personal taste. Arguably the most anatomically correct images on the site are at best not what people are looking for, or at worst are openly reviled, because they end up looking like the old world style paintings of stallions behind grandpaās sofa.
In MLP the only thing that is correct is in the show bible - and even the show only used it when it was useful. Itās guidelines - not laws.
If you want to create a new tag because thereās something you want to find, and thereās no tag for it, figure out what such a new tag would be called and please propose it. Then if there is consensus, and you find images are missing the new tag, add the tag.
That way youāre making the positive case easier to find, instead of trying to force a negative case on everyone else, that you could avoid simply by watching artists and prompters who create what you like.
Or, you know, the whole ājust ignore things you donāt likeā.
