Inherited tags and inherited tagging. Here they’re more a matter of personal taste instead of a metric of how rules are applied or whether the creator has any rights. This site is, in a lot of ways, what you would get if you removed Rule #1 from Derpibooru. POOF it’s an entirely different universe and things that used to matter simply evaporate into pixel dust before being driven away by a powerful wind of “don’t care”.

You know, I have to wonder. Why is the “ai generated” tag even a thing? Doesn’t it apply to every single picture on here?

Reasonable. Also, I personally wasn’t going to do any retagging unless I happened across something applicable and remembered… but you probably already knew that.

I think “ai generated” as an implication should be removed from “generator:zoinksnoob”, since a picture can be an “ai composition” instead of “ai generated”.

“Stetson” should imply “Cowboy Hat”

Could one append the word “adoptive” to the beginning of such tags and that would be acceptable? At least in cases where it is both clear(a) and not spammy(b)? Maybe only images where the relationship is shawcased and clear (or the tag vague such as “adoptive family”).
(a) While Spike is pretty clearly family to Twilight, “brother”, “son”, and “indefinable” are all options for what sort of adoptive relationship it is.
(b) Tagging every appearance of Cadance with either of the diarchs with “adoptive aunt and niece” seems like it COULD be a bit repetitive/redundant and still more for images of Cadance without either of the diarchs?

Please do not tag things like that.

I’ve wanted to fix lack of tags such as sisters, aunt and niece, mother and daughter and so on.
However I did stumble upon a roadblock. There are several instances of adopted family which I’m unsure if I’m clear to add (like Spike being adopted Twilight’s brother or royal sisters being adoptive aunts to Cadence), should I add these too or would they be too confusing?

It’s all been done :) I basically just copied the way things are on Derpi which resulted in some tags remaining unchanged.

IDK if starry manes, tails, clothes, etc. should also imply stars

starry night needs cleanup as it’s being used against the description. Perhaps the description should mention alternative tags, like night sky, starry sky, night, stars.

Should imply wingding eyes and the relevant object (heart, star, sparkles, flames/fire):
flame eyes
heart eyes
sparkly eyes
starry eyes

sky background should imply sky

night sky background should imply sky background, night, sky

desktop background should be aliased into wallpaper

fire background = fiery background

violet background and turquoise background should imply simple background

IDK what to do with gold background - I see only blurry, vaguely gold backgrounds, but my filter show only two images

my little pony. poni nimeltä spike is an official finnish-language book about spike being turned into a pony.
bara is a legitimate tag. usually gets used for stuff with exceptionally muscular or fat (gay) men.

I found several tags with typos, but my filters block all images under them. Can please someone more adventurous fix those tags?

smarphone -> smartphone
palm tre -> palm tree
akirt -> likely skirt
applecest. floppy ears & applecest. vulva - used dot instead of comma
my little pony. poni nimeltä spike - I have no idea what this tag is
abiguous penetration - ambiguous penetration
bals - likely balls or bald
bara - IDK, maybe bra?
bestiality pregnacy - either bestiality pregnancy or bestiality and pregnancy
✴, ❤❤, ❤❤❤ - don’t seem very useful, perhaps should be aliased to other tags, like star, sun, heart?
uniciron - unicorn?
