If old gens are kept for “historical value” and to show general progression, I guess one alternative could be to add tags like “low quality, early ai” etc to them, and have those tags in the default filter?

I didn’t even checked who uploaded them. That this these pictures “fly” in the first place is what bothers me.
Some even upvote what essentially comes down to being garbage. There should be rules against uploads like this.

Fortunately, you can hide tag “2022” to not see most of these images, but yeah, I don’t see a point in uploading over 100 very low quality images by this person.

Hello and welcome to my little nitpick corner. I know the side is young and all, but we need a quality standard. And I’m not talking about AI mistakes. AI is not it its infancy anymore and it is really easy to generate general good looking ponies these days. (Especially since they don’t have hands.)
You can’t tell me this aren’t gen-dumps. Just by following any guide/video and using a free online gen you get better looking results. I picked these examples at random from the last ten 5-6 pages, but there are so many more.
We need a bare minimum beyond “please only whole ponies, not disfigured garbage”. To quote rule #9:

Hi. Derpibooru still accepts images that qualify as “ai composition” or “ai assisted”, it’s just “ai generated” that is banned.
since is the first time I uploaded anything on either, I wanted to know how do I tag the content I post, so it shows that it’s me the one generating or remixing the ones I share.
You can just create your own tag “prompter:xxx” or “editor:xxx”.
Also how to link my profile to other websites where I post other contents that are AI based as well, if it’s possible.
You can add these links to your user profile.

There is no hard limit. Avoid “spamming”, eg. dropping 100 images in one go of Twilight Sparkle staring at the viewer; people get grumpy when there’s “too much” of something at once, even if it’s good.

Right now someone is uploading tons of (purposely?) ugly ai images which are impossible to filtrate (no prompter tag). I tend to think that’s might be an abuse.

I think one challenge that furbooru has is that its pulling people in from different fandoms with different ideas about tagging. It makes it much harder to find what you want to see and avoid what you don’t.

I was pretty down on this ghettoization. It still seems like a bad idea from the point of view of the site(s). As an advertiser, I’d think twice and splitting my impressions in half. I might not be using DB for ads again until I get some idea of what this means. My questions have been ignored.
That said, as a user after a few weeks, this is a nice place that so far has had universally positive and supportive comments and has avoided the toxicity of both the comments and the mods in the old site. I find myself coming here more often then there, lately.

Just noticed that when you report an image here, the rules listed are named like on Derpibooru, not like on Tantabus’ Site Rules page. For example, #9 is named Rule #9: Commissions, not Rule #9: Be mindful of image quality.
