The firefly gave me a little trouble, yeah, but funnily enough I never planned to include it in the first place.
The biggest challenge was actually the composition. I really wanted a scene where Fluttershy was comforting Marble, but I just couldn’t get it to look natural.
Then one render happened to give Fluttershy a pose where she was simply reaching a hoof toward Marble. I first thought about moving that hoof behind Marble’s mane to make it look like she was gently touching her. But then I realized it would work even better if she was showing Marble something small and comforting instead. The firefly became both the emotional and visual center of the image — a little ray of light in the darkness, both literally and figuratively.

This is adorable. Tbh, the biggest reason I love Fluttershy as much as I do is because of how kind she is to other ponies. She would ironically be a better counselor than Starlight. And this image shows that side of her so well, consoling Marble (who, yes, is a bit like Fluttershy).

I am going to guess that the firefly was the hardest part of the image to generate, considering last time the butterfly was the hardest part of the Fluttershy image.
