Looks like a box that explodes when hit in a videogame. I can only assume it is on a 5 to 10 second delay, which means she is reasonable to assume she’s got this…

Mao was just a guy. If he remained a random person, his book would just get memed and forgotten. But because he became somebody, even his shit was worshiped. And by shit I mean his book.
The Art of War had something to offer. The red book… you just get dumber after reading it.

Wow, if the original is that level of dumb… actually it would make me wonder if such lines aren’t some sort of metaphor for more intricate and useful concepts that don’t make it across the culture gap? I know that at least some of “The Art of War” is at least a bit like that. More specifically, it is recommended to watch the flight of birds over trees. If they divert upwards when passing over a certain point, it probably means there is an (enemy) encampment there. But this is a general message to pay attention to envrionmental cues (EDIT: Or something… don’t quote me on that). Similarly “Seize the chance to pillage a goat.” is I THINK offered without further explanation, but means “Don’t pass up opportunities for small victories, they might prove critical in the long-run.” or something very close to that…

…or maybe Mao’s manual-writters really did half-ass it that much.
I wonder if the content of that book is as ridiculous as the Chinese Red Book.
“When you look up and the sky is blue, it means it’s not night.”
“If you throw yourself into water and it feels wet, it means you’re not wearing a skintight bodysuit.”

Well, at least the front part of her made it through. RIP to her backside, I guess.
That’s what you get when you press Alt + F4
Silver Quill has me pretty convinced Our Town wasn’t communistic, but it was similarly phail…
My only objection here is that she has her post-reformation haircut.

Wish I could remember the name of it, but IIRC there was a webcomic that focused on the child of a Sadako-like ghost (or Sadako herself?) and some everyman who was remarkable only in that she couldn’t scare him(EDIT^2: On viewing the prequal on YouTube, the only time he showed exceptional courage in that way was when she showed up months later after apparently dying in a car-crash.). It was a happy family.
EDIT: Ah, HERE WE GO! Name also turns out to be “Erma”, which is the name of the daughter.
