A mare stands before our darkened home.
With memories deep, in her eyes they sleep,
She recalls the past, in contrast to the coming weep.

When chaos reigned, and shadows grew,
The world was amiss, and the sun was too.
From a night, a spark did gleam,
Yet some days a furnace, a nightmare of a dream.
But Age of Chaos was at an end,
There was no more force for day to mend.
The sun stayed buried behind the hills,
A growing threat to all our future meals.
Order was needed to offset age’s loss,
And magic too that is reality’s boss.
In one pony race, all hopes were placed,
Unicorns would reign or all life would be erased.
From distant lands, distinguished trotted far,
Guided by a hopeful star.
With different spells and varied lore,
They met upon a mystic shore.
The best among them, proud and true,
Each with a gift, a power new.
From mountains high and forests deep,
From deserts vast where shadows creep.
At first, they clashed, their magic wild,
Each spell unique, each heart beguiled.
But through the night, they learned to see,
They shared a goal, a unity.
With whispered words and gentle grace,
They found a common, sacred space.
Combining strengths, their powers grew,
A tapestry of magic, woven true.
Starswirl the Bearded wrote it all down,
In case they failed, not all hope would drown.
Young Unicorns could take their place,
Forcing their magic in a more orderly pace.
A great teacher he proved, for old and anew,
Unseen magic was spun among the patterns he drew.
The wisest of all grew stronger yet,
Upgrading their knowledge they made the bet.
They forged a bond, both strong and bright,
A beacon in the darkest night.
With hearts aligned and spirits high,
They vowed to lift the morning sky.
The Unicorns, with magic bright,
Gathered ’neath the moon’s soft light.
From every corner, they did come,
To weave a spell, to raise the sun.
With horns aglow, and hearts as one,
They forged a path, till night was done.
Through mist and shadow, their power soared,
Till dawn’s first light, the world restored.
The Age of Chaos, now at end,
Through order’s might, the sun ascends.
And in the sky, a new day born,
By Unicorns’ magic, the world is sworn.
But life depended on the moving sun.
Yet momentum it lost, foretold eternal night
A miraculous feat had not been enough
More was needed for the sun’s path
The group of mages already spent,
Some busted horns and some were bent.
Yet for those who remained, a dark fate would gleam,
Sacrifices were needed for another day to beam.
A call was made, spread far and wide,
For a Unicorn to turn the tide.
The world cannot endure without your help,
Stand with us and answer our command.
Sunrise Gloom was young and faithful,
In her heart, a fire, bright and graceful.
The urgent words eclipsed the truth so distasteful,
A call to action, a duty ungrateful.
