I don’t know if in-painting could fix this, but, as an engineer, I’d like to see all parts of the rear wheel a rider’s tail could reach be covered.

Her mech would probably be highly modular, leaving the enemy uncertain of the capabilities in any give encounter until they get a clear image of it in visual/radar/IR. It takes a total genius to be able to fight at the highest level with performance characteristics that change every mission, but she qualifies.

Laser loadout for her sun Cutie Mark? Maybe a flamethrower or two, but perhaps only very short range ones mostly around the ankles, that perhaps can’t even be aimed. These function mostly as a defense against infantry attempting to plant magnetic or adhesive satchel charges. Her symbology does include the phoenix, so her mech being able to cover itself in flames would be on-brand.

While this is entirely reasonable there is probably a competitor for this G.I. Joe character…

I once saw a picture of the humanized Mane Six+Spike as an army squad. It took me a second to realize why Spike was wearing the field-radio backpack. Answer: technological equivalent to his flame-mail.

Fluttershy has been weirder things since Discord asked if he could add some variety to her physical form, and now that they are married some of his ideas can get get downright Lovecraftian. She doesn’t mind a bit as long as he turns her back before anything where she might scare anyone (including an animal).
She thinks he looks cute in echolocation, but not NEARLY as sexy as his blinking was when he mixed a little Firefly(1) into their forms.
(1) The species, which I capitalize for sapient variations, not the sci-fi series.
