The Lunar Monarchy’s expansion is still primarily driven by the construction of new space habitats. Ponyville is one of these new ones, and Rarity recently became governor, appointed by Empress Nightmare Moon herself. However, this job isn’t nearly as rosy as she’d hoped. While her status is higher than that of almost all nobles, the problems are just as formidable.

She’s currently swamped with work and exhausted after days of fighting for the monument to the famous griffin architect. The protests from monarchists and authoritarian nobles against the monument are largely due to the architect’s egalitarian views, and Rarity is simply tired of it. But she raised the issue herself in a video call with the Empress, and now she has no choice but to complete the monument project. Sometimes she thinks that it would be better if she became a fashion designer and seamstress, as she dreamed of as a child.
